Customs & Duties Policy

International shipments may be subject to customs controls, import duties, taxes and other charges imposed by the destination country.

Customer Responsibility

The Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all goods comply with the customs, import and export requirements of the destination country.

The Customer is also responsible for:

  • providing accurate customs declarations;
  • supplying all required documentation;

paying any applicable customs duties, taxes, VAT, import fees or other government charges.

Customs Inspections

All shipments may be inspected by customs or other competent authorities.

RusPost has no control over customs procedures and cannot guarantee customs clearance or delivery times.

Delays

Customs inspections and clearance procedures may result in delays.

RusPost is not liable for delays caused by customs authorities or other government agencies.

Refused, Returned or Seized Shipments

Where a shipment is refused entry, returned, seized, confiscated or destroyed by customs or another competent authority, RusPost shall not be liable for any resulting loss or expense.

Any costs arising from such action, including storage, return shipping, customs duties, taxes, customs fees or disposal charges, shall be the responsibility of the Customer.

Customs Duties for Russia and EAEU Countries

Customs duties, taxes and duty-free allowances for shipments to Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are determined under the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the customs laws of the destination country.

The amount of customs duties and taxes may depend on the value, weight, quantity, type and intended use of the goods.

Customers are encouraged to check the latest customs requirements before shipping by consulting:

  • Eurasian Economic Commission – EAEU Customs Tariff and Commodity Classification
  • Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS Russia)

the official customs authority of the destination country, where applicable.

RusPost does not calculate, collect or guarantee the amount of customs duties, taxes or import charges payable. Any customs duties, VAT, taxes or other government charges imposed by the destination country's authorities remain the sole responsibility of the Customer or recipient.

Restricted & Prohibited Goods

Customers must ensure that their shipments do not contain goods prohibited or restricted by the laws of the destination country.
